Shipping, Returns & Warranty

Return Policy:

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return any unused and unopened item for a refund* (not including shipping costs) within the first 30 days following your order. Please keep all original packaging; items not in their original condition are not returnable.

Note: Any claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 48 hrs.

Include the following information: 
1. Your order number (XXXXXXX).
2. The item number of the products you wish to return.
3. How many of each product you wish to return.
4. The reason for the return. For example: Is the item defective or damaged? Was the wrong item shipped? 
5. The condition of the item: opened or unopened.

We will reply by email with a return authorization number and shipping instructions for your return. We do not accept returns at our customer service office, please ship your return to the warehouse address included in our emailreply. We suggest shipping with a carrier that provides shipment tracking and proof of delivery as items lost or damaged in transit cannot be credited.  

Affix a label to the outer box or packaging with the return authorization number and return shipping address.  DO NOT write on the product's box or packaging as this will make your item non-returnable.

No returns of any kind can be accepted without a return authorization number. Once our warehouse has processed your return, the refund will be applied to your credit card account. Please allow up to 3 weeks for the processing of returned merchandise. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from any refund for refused shipments of undamaged products returned to OFWD.com. 

OFWD pays return shipping only for items shipped to you in error or received damaged or defective. Any claims for damage and/or shortages must be made within 7 days of the date of shipment. OFWD accepts returns for 30 days from the date of order. Any unused & unopened item may be returned for credit (not including shipping charges). In order to receive credit, all products must be returned in the original packaging and including all original contents. 
All returns/replacements after 30 days must be done directly to the manufacturer of the product. Manufacturer's warranties vary, please consult the warranty information included with your products.

Delivery Time
Orders placed before 2:00 PM in your time zone normally ship the same day (Monday-Friday). Most customers will receive their Courier shipments within 1-3 week days. We ship from  Edmonton. Products that cannot ship via Courier and require shipment by truck such as desks, file cabinets, etc.typically require 1-3 additional days for delivery.
Orders shipping by truck will not ship until we've spoken with you to confirm delivery arrangements. Once we've received your order we will contact you, or if you prefer contact us at TOLL FREE: 1-877-947-7919

Truck Deliveries to Business Addresses
Truck deliveries do not include inside delivery. Truck shipments are tailgate/dock delivery (the driver will bring the item(s) to the rear of the truck but will not assist you in bringing the item(s) inside). Inside delivery and/or setup is available in some metropolitan areas for an additional charge. Contact us at 1-877-947-7919 or by email to ofwdinfo@ofwd.com for a quote. Be sure to include the item numbers of the items you are inquiring about in your email. Truck deliveries cannot be scheduled, however we can request that the trucking company call before attempting delivery. A signature is required for all truck deliveries; someone must be available during business hours to sign for a truck delivery. Note any visible damage on the bill of lading/delivery ticket before signing for the shipment. Any claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 48 hrs.

Truck Deliveries to Residential Addresses & Home Office
Inside delivery is not available to residential addresses or home offices.  Truck shipments are tailgate/curbside delivery (the driver will bring the item to the rear of the truck but will not assist you in bringing the item inside). Truck deliveries cannot be scheduled, however we can request that the trucking company call before attempting delivery. A signature is required for all truck deliveries; someone must be available during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 6:00PM) to sign for a truck delivery. Note any visible damage on the bill of lading/delivery ticket before signing for the shipment. Any claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 48 hrs.

Residential delivery is not available in some areas of the country; we will contact you if delivery cannot be made to your address.

Warranty Info:

Office Furniture Warehouse Direct warrants its products to be free from defects in design, material & workmanship under normal use and care. The warranty averages are described as follows:

General Seating Lines
• Upholstery fabric - 3 Years
• Decorative wood & synthetic parts, casters, bases, arms & stacking chairs - 3 Years
• Pneumatic cylinders & mechanisms - 5 Years (Seating warranty is based on an eight hour single - shift work day only for users weighing up to 250 lbs or 114 Kilograms)

Filing & Storage Products Locks & slides
- 5 Years (Warranty will not be valid if products have their safety mechanisms, wearing labels or operating instructions altered, removed or if cabinet has been moved while loaded)
• Casegoods Furniture, Conference Room Furniture / Tables & Systems Furniture. - 5 Years
• Locks, hinges, slides, user adjustable mechanisms and keyboard mechanisms. - 5 Years
• Melamine, Laminate finishes. - 5 Years
• Metal bases and metal support mechanisms. - 5 Years

Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances, including but not limited to breach of contract, breach of warranty of negligence, shall OFWD be liable loss of revenue, profits, stored data, general, special, consequential or exemplary damages, even if OFWD had notice of these damages or they were foreseeable. OFWD's liability in all cases shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective parts, or the purchase price of the product. Damages resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, negligence, or accidents are not covered under this warranty.

Care and Maintenance:
OFWD finishes provides superior strength with enhanced stain & mar resistance for easy maintenance. However, care must be
exercised whenever cleaning materials constructed of wood.
Certain precautions will keep your furniture looking like new:
• Dust all surfaces on a regular basis with a clean soft damp cloth, in the grain direction; do not use spray polishes or those
pertaining silicone. Lift all objects when moving; never drag objects across the finished surface; sharp metal objects such as keys, spring binders & briefcase hinges should not be in contact with finish surface.
• Wet objects should be placed on coasters; use a desk pad for writing on.
• Bottoms of items like flower vases & desk accessories should be protected.
• Use of felt pads under electronic equipment is recommended
• Furniture exposed to ultraviolet rays may change colour OFWD's hardware is selected for ease of maintenance.

Certain precautions will help keep items looking & operating like new:
• Lubricate the housing & ball bearing drawer suspensions twice a year with a high quality petroleum jelly type lubricant.
• Use a window type cleaner, sprayed onto the cloth, to clean pull hardware.
• Furniture settles over time due to variations in carpet thickness, pile type & overall weight of furniture therefore to ensure correct drawer alignment check unit is level and adjust glides as required.
